VPN Usage
- The VPN client is named FortiClient VPN. It will either be on the desktop , or in your Start Menu . Launch it from either of these locations. If you can’t find it then it might not be installed and please put in a ticket.
- After the client comes up:
the Far Bank VPN should be selected. Enter your Windows user name (first initial, last name) and Windows password. Client Connect.
- You’re connected! That’s it.
- The VPN client icon will show up in the System Tray in the lower right (Green shield with a lock if connected):
You can click on this to disconnect or reconnect the client.
Editing Client Settings
If you haven’t connected to the VPN in a long time, there’s a chance that it might be pointed to the wrong internet address. To correct this:
- Click on the hamburger menu to the right of the VPN Name:
- Click “Edit the Selected Connection”
- Make sure the remote gateway is connect.farbank.com and that the port is 443:
- Click Save, and then try connecting.
